About this deal

A heady mix of daemonic power and debased Astartes ceramite, this Battleforce is the ideal way to throw in your lot with the Warmaster and start scouring the galaxy for the keys to victory. Once again, this is your first opportunity to secure this kit, which is currently exclusive to Combat Patrol: Orks. Deff From, Uh… Regular Height Orks love a good krumpin’, and romp across the stars in hurtling roks to find a proper fight. Given the quality of Ork navigation and engineering, it's not uncommon for these belligerent greenskins to wind up stranded on a space hulk – or crash straight into an enemy ship, where they promptly flood the gangways and cargo bays in search of fresh opponents to smash and potential loot to claim. Tactically, boarding actions lists are all about navigating the new challenges of a space ship – and each mission brings fresh challenges,” Rich adds. “For example, which unit will you walk through a furnace to score Victory Points, and which unit do you task with guarding the OFF switch for said furnace? Building your ideal Boarding Patrol is the first of many decisions you’ll need to make.” Snag an exclusive, artist-signed print of Farsight when you buy Arks of Omen: Farsight , Boarding Patrol: T’au Empire, and the Arks of Omen: Farsight Enclaves Dice Set together. Only 300 are available, so act fast.** Boarding Patrol: Orks

The Emperor’s finest are the prime bulwark against Abaddon’s nefarious schemes, and this Boarding Patrol is typical of their brutal efficiency in such matters. You’ll be able to face any foe with a highly customisable Primaris Captain in Gravis armour , five Heavy Intercessors , and 10 Assault Intercessors . Miniatures Material: Plastic (Please note all miniatures come unpainted as new – some assembly is required) We’ve already taken our first peek at the rules for this new expansion. Today, we’re joined by Rich Butler from the Warhammer Studio team to have a look at the armies you’ll be building. The Corsair Voidscarred bring all the toys from their Kill Team set, taking up the lion’s share of the points but punching far above their weight with psychic powers, blasters, fusion pistols, and a shuriken cannon. The Voidreavers deploy light with a pistol and power sword each, but have the option of switching to long-ranged shuriken rifles should you be raiding an area with plenty of fighty foes like Tyranids and Orks. This Boarding Patrol contains 17 models in total – one gunslinging Kelermorph inspires a team of 10 Acolyte Hybrids, who can also be built as Hybrid Metamorphs, while a hulking Abominant is joined by his little Mindwyrm Familiar friend, and five nearly-as-hulking Aberrants. The recommended build for Boarding Action games is Boss Snikrot, five Flash Gitz, and 10 Kommandos and 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, each split into five-model squads. The Balefleet Battleforce is a contingent of corrupted warriors comprised of 10 Possessed , five Chaos Space Marine Terminators , and a Heldrake , all led by an infernal Daemon Prince. Quite how he’s getting around or why he’s conducting daring boarding actions is anyone’s guess, but he commands a kunnin’ krew of raucous Orks on his travels.

The Warhammer Community team has come up with a few of our own sample lists to see what’s possible. Snikrot, often known as Da Green Ghost, is a sly spectre who specialises in slitting throats and taking scalps with his massive combat knives, known as Mork’s Teeth. Combat Patrol: Orks is the first chance to get your hands on this Warboss in Mega Armour. The armour design matches the Meganobz , but it’s even more impressive, to suit his status. Not quite as impressive as Ghazghkull Thraka , mind, but this ambitious warboss is working on that. Bring Da Boyz (and Da Noise)Boarding Patrol: Orks provides a brutal and kunnin’ force, perfectly suited to crushing ‘oomies and aliens alike in games of Warhammer 40,000 – especially in the dense and deadly Boarding Action missions detailed in the Arks of Omen series – and will save you money compared to buying the kits individually.

All of Snikrot’s parts fit on a single small sprue and the model is placed on a 40mm base. As usual for character models, Snikrot is monopose without any posing options. The model has three head options though, a bare head, a face wearing night googles, and another head with the night vision device pushed onto the forehead. There is also an optional smoke grenade for the base. Boss Snikrot sprue The immediate difference between the Boarding Patrol and other Warhammer 40,000 Detachments is that nothing is compulsory,” Rich explains. “It’s perfectly viable to take no Troops or HQs whatsoever, allowing lists to lean into clear concepts like an all- Navy Breacher force, or take nothing but Khorne Berzerkers – the gentleman’s choice.” Sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter to find out when these boxed sets are heading to release, and get ready to battle for the galaxy’s fate in the latest season of Matched Play. The Deff Dread is the one model in the box that isn’t new, but it’s amazing and you can never have enough of them. The crisis deepens – Angron is loose , Vashtorr is scheming , and Abaddon’s Arks of Omen are voyaging to every corner of the galaxy in search of who knows what. The Imperium is scrambling to regain the upper hand, dispatching boarding parties in a last-ditch attempt to stop the Warmaster’s vile plans. Way out in the Damocles Gulf, another Key fragment lies waiting to be found on the dead planet of Arthas Moloch. The Farsight Enclaves of the T’au are forced to retreat to this blighted planet by the Ork hordes, just as one of Vashtorr’s many Arks of Omen arrives to claim this mysterious artefact… Rules for playing Boarding Action games of Warhammer 40,000 can be found in the Arks of Omen: Abaddon supplement. Additional rules for Orks Boarding Patrols can be found in Arks of Omen: Angron.

The (tweaked) Agents of the Imperium ability allows Navy Breachers to join up with any IMPERIUM Boarding Patrol – appropriate, as it’s their job – and means they won’t even disrupt the Chapter playbook. Finally, the Death Guard heed Abaddon’s call, with an obdurate if slimy Boarding Patrol led by a Lord of Virulence. He’s joined by a bodyguard of three Deathshroud Terminators, as well as 10 versatile Plague Marines – three of which are taken from the much-sought-after Plague Marine Reinforcements set. All models are supplied with their appropriate bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. The new Boss Snikrot stays true to the old Finecast model. Snikrot became a touch bigger and the details are a bit sharper and more precise thanks to the plastic casting, but otherwise, almost all the details can be found again. The three heads are a nice addition, but I would have preferred an alternative left arm to mimic the iconic “shhh” pose of the old model. The other stuff This force is led by a mega-armoured behemoth of a greenskin. Not content with the usual shooty ’fing in one hand and choppy ’fing in the other, he’s opted for ALL choppy, in BOTH hands, happy to let his grot “assistant” ride shotgun, or, er, big shoota in this case.Masterful melee murderers and cramped corridors with lots of nooks and crannies to hide in – can you name a better match? Boarding Patrol: Drukhari contains 20 Wyches, five Incubi, a Succubus, and therefore more deadly blades than you can shake a splinter rifle at. Boarding Patrol: Grey Knights
